Today Amanda and I are throwing an all-day “Watch all three extended editions of the Lord of the Rings movies” party, and it looks like we couldn’t have picked a better day for it. As we journey through Middle Earth and enjoy authentic Middle Earth food, the snow will be piling up outside in what’s already being called “The Blizzard of 2005.”

This is going to be fun.

Update [11:15 PM]: Three movies watched, lots of good food eaten, half a foot of snow shoveled so far. What an amazing day.
