Back in Woodcliff Lake (the place I used to live—what a weird thought), we used Optimum Online for internet access. Its reviews are nothing special and their email system blows goats, but there’s no denying that it was fast as hell. I routinely got 8 megabits downloading, and upload speeds were nothing to sneeze at, either.

Now that Amanda and I are in Cliffside Park, we’ve got DSL. It’s required an adjustment, because we now only get 1.5 megabits down and about 384kbps upload.

I’m getting used to the fact that I now have only the equivalent of a T1 at my disposal.
