The Nana/Pap Gene

I have a new car now. The short story is, I got a letter offering a really good price on a trade-in of my 2003 Ion, the offer turned out to be good, and I went ahead and did it. I also went for the power package this time around: I now have the ability to roll down the passenger side window WITHOUT LEANING OVER.

I felt a little bad giving up on the 2003 Ion (which was never named), as it only treated me well (excepting that snowy night in January when the tires forgot how to make contact with the road and the wheel almost fell off). It took Amanda and me safely across the country and back, and the times we spent together will never be forgotten.

But the pain of loss will fade in time, especially as I grow used to my new ability to unlock my car WITHOUT EVEN PUTTING THE KEY IN THE DOOR.

Truly, I have entered the 21st century.

  1. Good Luck

  2. I may be the only one who reads this that gets the title. It’s totally the Pap “gene”. I have the Nanna “gene”.

  3. Good luck with the new wheels, I hope Amanda likes it when she sees it.
