Supply Problems at Dell?
We use Dell as our primary PC supplier at my office, and I placed an order for a memory upgrade for my laptop late last week. It was listed as backordered then, and still is this morning: tentative ship date is October 28. Does it strike anyone else as odd that Dell will not have a 1 GB memory module to ship to me until 11 days from now?
Update: it shipped October 18. Maybe they just need to estimate a little better.

Dell is the single worst computer manufacturer in the world. Even Compaq is better. You’re a fool for choosing Dell over a reputable, honest, and reliable PC manufacturer such as Hewlett-Packard. Blame yourself. Everyone knows Dell is garbage, especially when it comes to customer service.
