Apple's Earbuds are Tough
I keep my iPod earbuds on my person pretty much all the time, usually in my jacket pocket. Yesterday was the first day warm enough in recent weeks to go outside without a jacket, so the earbuds got moved to my shirt pocket. Upon removing my shirt last night to do laundry, I forgot about my earbuds.
So they went through the wash.
I woke up see them in a tangled mess on the kitchen table this morning, with a note saying “these went through the wash. sorry.” I blamed nobody but myself; I am an idiot. But I untangled them and plugged them into my iPod just in case…and in addition to smelling springtime fresh, they actually worked. Sweet. Maybe now I’ll see if the iPod itself would survive such a treatment…
Or maybe not.

I actually sort of washed my ipod! Yes, my water bottle leaked
and I drained the water out of the ipod, hair dried it from a distance, and it works……sort of….the hold button doesn’t, but I’ve rigged a gizmo so it doesn’t play constantly. Yeah, apple?
