Smuggler's Quay is no more

Smuggler’s Quay, the miniature golf course in Seaside Heights, NJ, has been wiped from the face of the earth. Where once there stood 36 holes of pure awesomeness and bizarrely obscure pirate trivia there is now a gaping hole, doubtless awaiting the arrival of some high-priced condos or similar.

Such was the sad revelation as Amanda and I pulled into town last night looking for our annual fix of boardwalk pizza and mini-golf. We were successful in the first half of our mission (and wow, was it delicious), but substituted fireworks for the second half.

Somebody should make a shirt that says “Mini Golf Not Condos”.
