Hey, I Finally Uploaded My GPS Data!

One of my favorite presentations at RailsConf was Doug Fales’ discussion of his Flickr/Google Maps mashup, Walking Boss. I liked it so much, I went out and bought a simple GPS device before our trip up to Acadia National Park. I recorded several of our hikes and both failed whale watches, and I finally got off my lazy ass this morning and uploaded some GPX files.

The results are really awesome: both the Jordan Pond Loop and the second failed whale watch are now documented and available for public viewing. For an even cooler view, download Google Earth and click on Download KML on each trip.
